Tramvia Barcelona

The new Tram

The TRAM is a modern transport integrated in the general network of the city. There are two lines: one to the Baix Llobregat and one in the area of Besós:

Trambaix: covers the towns in the Baix Llobregat area: Hospitalet, Esplugues, Cornellá, Sant Just Desvern, Sant Feliu de Llobregat and Sant Joan Despí. It has 3 different lines: L1, L2 and L3. The three of them start at Plaza de Francesc Maciá. See lines

Trambesós: Covers the area of Besós and reaches Badalona. It has stations at Sant Adría, Sant Martí and Poblenou. Line T4 starts at calle Wellington, close to the Olímpic port; and T5 at plaza de les Glories. See lines.

TRAM is part of Barcelona's transport network, so metro tickets are valid to travel in the tram. With the T10 card and other tickets of the "Sistema Tarifario Integrado" it is possible to make a combined journey including tram and other means of transport with the same ticket. There are ticket machines in the tram stops.

The Blue Tram: Tramvia Blau

Inaugurated in 1901 this old tram is a symbol of 1900 Barcelona and connects the city with the mountain of Tibidabo. The tranvía Blau goes from plaça de John Kennedy, along Avinguda del Tibidabo up to Plaça del Funicular. The route itself is very atractive, as some of the most impressive modernist mansions are along the way. The ticket is sold inside the tram. It leaves you at the entrance of Funicular del Tibidabo, the cable car that takes you up to the summit of the mountain.
Please note that anada and tornada is one way and return in Catalan.
